Mastercard’s Brexit Fees Natwest Deal Update – CMSPI Insights Report
NatWest Group, which includes some of the UK’s largest issuing banks, have announced that they will be switching their debit cards from Visa to Mastercard.
The move is expected to increase Mastercard’s share of the UK market to around a third, and comes amidst a number of interchange fee revisions by the international network. Of these changes, one of the most significant concerns Britain’s reclassification as an ‘inter-regional’ market following Brexit.
