Announcement from RILA

The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA), the U.S. trade association for leading retailers, is proud to announce CMSPI as a strategic partner and new sponsor for RILA’s Payment Committee.

RILA’s Payments Committee is made up of financial, payments, legal, and government relations executives from the largest and most innovative retail companies. Members of the committee provide insight and guidance on issues such as rising swipe fees, debit routing, EMV migration, fraud, and credit competition reform.

CMSPI, an independent payments consultancy working with merchants to reduce cost and enhance payments strategies, has long supported retail trade organizations.

“We are thrilled to be working with CMSPI on critical payment priorities for retail leaders,” said Austen Jensen, RILA senior vice president of government affairs. “Their expertise in the payments space will be extremely valuable to our retail members as we work to improve the playing field for merchants on significant payment related public policy initiatives.”

“The payments ecosystem is incredibly dynamic, complex, and often unfairly weighted against merchants – that’s why we’re committed to supporting the merchant community as much as possible to work towards a more balanced environment,” said Alex Ellwood, CMSPI’s Head of Advocacy. “RILA is a fantastic organization. We’re excited to share lessons, and insights from our day-to-day work helping merchants in the U.S., as well as globally, to support and strengthen their efforts on payments market reform.”
